Mira Nila Homes, QUEZON CITY – Recoletos School of Theology had the Holy Spirit Mass to formally open the School Year 2021 – 2022 held at the St. Thomas of Villonava Chapel last August 20, 2021 at 7:00 in the morning. The Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Dionisio Q. Selma, OAR, the Prior Provincial of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, and was concelebrated by the Chapter of Formation of Recoletos Formation Center and the Board of Recoletos School of Theology.
Due to the threat of the COVID-19, only the Recollect and intern theologians were able to attend physically the Eucharist in the chapel. Other students from different congregations participated virtually via Zoom aired by the RST Technical team.
In the homily, Fr. Selma challenged the theology students to study with faith in spite of the virtual learning set up today. He also extended his gratitude to the different Superiors of each congregation for the trust they gave to the quality of education that the school provides as they continue to send their seminarians to finish their theological studies in Recoletos School of Theology. After the homily, the Professio Fidei was made by the Professors.
Face-to-face classes will not resume yet due to the continuous surge of covid contagions and its variants. The theological studies of the seminarians continue via online learning modalities.
