Mira Nila Homes, QUEZON CITY – Fray Ivan C. Cuison, OAR, and Fray Jhoben M. Rodriguez, OAR were ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate on Saturday, November 20, 2022 at Our Lady of Consolation Parish.
Most Rev. Teodoro C Bacani, DD, Bishop-Emeritus of the Diocese of Novaliches, officiated the Diaconal Ordination together with Rev. Fr. Kenneth Onda, OAR, Vicar of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno Province of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, Fr. Reno Villalino, OAR, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Consolation Parish, the Chapter of Formation of Recoletos Formation Center, some Recollect Priests and Diocesan clergy.
Bishop Ted reminded them, “…we’ve learned that the Diaconal ordination gives us that permanent marker that while we are still on earth that mark will always be on you. And what is that mark? That is the mark of your service. And that you will receive that today and will remain with you forever.” And he also reminded them that “You are, first of all, servants of Christ…” and that to serve His people, they must be, at first, serving Jesus Christ.
Before the final blessing, Rev. Jhoben M. Rodriguez, OAR, delivered his words of gratitude and thanked the Almighty Father for the milestone they received. He also expressed his gratitude for their parents, relatives, and friends as they continue to journey with them.
