Five Priests Ordained on the 430th Anniversary of the Augustinian Recollects
December 5, 2018 – Coinciding with the 430thAnniversary of the Augustinian Recollection, Five OAR friars were ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Antonio Tobias, DD, of the Diocese of Novaliches in Our Lady of Consolation Parish, Mira-Nila Homes, Quezon city at 9:00 in the Morning.
The Newly ordained priests were Rev. Fr. Paul S. Demillones, OAR from Tacloban city, Leyte; Rev. Fr. Niel Ryan E. Jarumay, OAR from Canlaon City, Negros Oriental; Rev. Fr. Keneth B. Pahamutang, OAR from Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Rev Fr. Elpedio N. Sarita Jr., OAR from Valencia, Negros Oriental; and Rev Fr. Kenneth S. Caligdong, OAR from Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
In his homily, bishop expressed his gratitude for the gift of priesthood to the church of the five ordinandi as well as with their formators and respective families for their continued support. He added that they are being ordained today so that they may serve the people of God wherever they are sent. “Give your best wherever you are sent. For where you are sent is where God wants you to be,” was the solemn advise of the ordaining Bishop.
Present during the Ordination were, OAR priests from all over the country, Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity, Recollect Augustinian Youth, Religious from different Congregations as well as families, friends, and benefactors of the newly ordained priests.
